Default Product Keys

Is there any way to see/find your product key codes for GW? I can find the last five digits of all my addons, just not the actual game key. Three of my accounts were bought online, and I am hoping to find the keys somewhere for the actual game. This is not the original computer the games were installed on.

Any help is appreciated.

If you buy them online, don't you get an e-mail with the codes?

There is no way to see them in-game or on your PC that I know of.

I'm not sure if it tells you in game, if you login then go to the Account Options there should be an option to show everything on the account, but I don't know if it just lists things like "GOTY edition" + "Nightfall CE" etc. or if it shows the keys as well.

If you have the boxes with the cards in they will be in there.

If you bought the games from the (online) store then they email you the key for the product. For example buying Costume Packs in the ingame store your code gets emailed to you.

No, there is no in-game indication of account keys at all. As you have discovered, your NCSoft master account shows only the last 5 digits of the strings.

It may be worth mentioning that you don't need the serials to install on a new machine - in fact, that would not work at all. You just need your account name, password and character name and you can install on as many machines as you like.

The only use for serial keys once they've been used is to prove ownership in case of dispute.

This was the main reason for trying to track them down. Just to have on hand again, just in case. Has been 3 to 5 years since the original installs and what I had, has disappeared.

Thanks all.

Any chance you bought them via Steam? Because Steam stores your CD keys and they're accessible any time you need them.

Sort of off topic, but If the way they allow you to link your GW1 account to GW2 is CD keys, a lot of people will be missing out. If so, maybe they will allow you to find your CD keys through the client during GW2 release.

It will be done through your main account holder with ncsoft. If you have not already created one, I highly recommend you do so that all your accounts are in one place and could not possibly be stolen by another user.

Here is the link to NCSoft support answer to that question http://help.ncsoft.com/cgi-bin/ncsof...i=&p_topview=1
as stated by others, you cannot get the actual key numbers by any means. This info is kept by ArenaNet and, if you have an NCSoft account, by them also.

If you purchased all your games through the store and NCSoft store, then they would have automatically added each purchase to your account. If you have the credit card info used to make those purchases, this would be proof of ownership in the event of a hack.

Yes, in the event of missing serials, NCSoft have a list of questions they can ask you to prove ownership - at least I'm pretty sure I've heard reports of people going through this process.

Date you bought the account(s), address, character names - the usual stuff.
